Practice Areas

Consular Processing and Waivers

Nimer Law guides clients through each stage, from National Visa Center document collection and the DS-260 application to preparing for the consular interview. For nonimmigrant visa applicants found inadmissible, we prepare waiver requests under INA § 212(d)(3)(A), known as Hranka waivers.

Mandamus Lawsuits

When USCIS or a U.S. consulate leaves your case pending for months or years with no decision, you don’t have to keep waiting. A mandamus lawsuit, often filed together with a claim under the Administrative Procedure Act, asks a federal judge to order the government to act on your case within a reasonable time. Jennifer Nimer has filed approximately 950 federal lawsuits on behalf of immigrants worldwide, challenging delays in both USCIS and consular processing cases.

USCIS Application filing

Our work includes naturalization (Form N-400), adjustment of status to permanent residence (Form I-485), employment authorization (Form I-765), affirmative asylum (Form I-589), and humanitarian parole (Form I-131), along with many other USCIS petitions and benefit requests. We assemble complete, well-documented filings designed to avoid requests for evidence and unnecessary delays, and we represent clients at their USCIS interviews.

We are ready to help you.
