Nimer Law LLC announced today that it has successfully resolved another citizenship delay lawsuit.

The suit, filed in federal court for the Southern District of Ohio, was on behalf of a naturalization applicant from Kosovo whose application had been pending with USCIS for over three years. Nimer Law filed a lawsuit in conjunction with Simakovsky Law, who had represented the applicant through his naturalization proceedings.

“We are pleased to announce that after the filing of our lawsuit, we were able to successfully resolve the delay in adjudication, and our client was officially sworn in as a United States citizen this week,” said attorney Jennifer Nimer. “Applicants from Muslim-majority countries are often subjected to lengthy delays in all types of immigration applications because they are viewed with suspicion by USCIS due to their country of origin, travel or other subjective criteria that does not actually bar them from qualifying for the immigration benefit they seek. Often the only way to resolve the delay in adjudication is by filing a lawsuit.”

Nimer Law regularly files lawsuits for all types of immigration delays, including applications pending with USCIS as well as visa applications delayed at embassies and consulates abroad. Individuals interested in scheduling a consultation for a similar type of delay can book an appointment online at www.nimerlaw.com/schedule-a-consultation.
